Abstract
This talk will introduce you to the concept of coaching and the many ways it can be applied, be it individual coaching for a specific issue or using coaching skills in everyday workplace conversations. Common coaching models used will be discussed. The fundamentals of coaching, including four core coaching skills: listening, questioning, reflecting, and summarising will be described. There will be open discussion around scenarios where coaching could be applied and how conversation can be turned around to ensure an individual is using their own internal resources to own the “issue”.
