Dual-Qualified Medical Scientist & Emergency Medical Technician. Chief in Chemical Pathology Beaumont having previously worked in Immunology in Beaumont and the Mater. Qualified Emergency Medical Technician 2009. Trained in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) 2018. Peer Support worker in CISM for Order of Malta Ireland & Cardiac First Responder Volunteers for the National Ambulance Service.
Advocate against consistent workplace stress & awareness of compounded Critical Incident Stress in Medical Scientists. Willing to enable change.

  • To understand the different types of stress.
  • Factors that affect day to day resilience causing vulnerability to the final stressor.
  • Triggers of Critical Incident Stress.
  • Understanding how it may affect you in and outside of work.
  • To accept Critical Incident Stress is real, is happening often, and how to acknowledge and ultimately repair accumulated Critical Incident Stress in Medical Scientists.
  • Normalising the effects of our job on our mental health so as to empower recovery.
